Donostia-San Sebastián - Monte Igeldo

Okay, here's the first of many posts about my beautiful hometown Donosti (the full name is Donostia-San Sebastián). If you want to get a first impression, check out my Polaroids.
Donosti is a small town located in Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, in Northern Spain and even though I traveled a lot it's the most beautiful city I've seen so far.

I'm getting started with what's supposed to be the highlight=last post, but never mind. The Monte Igeldo in the west of the city is one of the three mountains of Donosti, all of them giving you a spectacular view over the city and the Atlantic ocean. If you aren't to eager to climb it all, just take the funicular railway (one way 1,50 €) to get to the top. There you'll find some sort of (boring) attraction park that opened in 1912 and a tower built in 1778 which used to be a lighthouse, standing 184 metres above sea level. Buy an entrance and get to the top. In the inside there are many interesting photos explaining the history of Donosti but even though it's fascinating every information will soon be forgotten the moment you reach the top. There you get offered the most spectacular view you could ever imagine. Forget about Rio de Janeiro, this is IT!

Get in here

Just takes a few minutes

The lighthouse
 The small island Santa Clara

The middle mountain, Monte Urgull

Stunning, isn't it?

Going down

That's the neighborhood and on the left on the top you can see the tower

Since the owner drives a fancy car...

...he certainly has to be a VIP (too bad it's only McDonald's... haha)

Street Art Offenbach

Most of it found on the Kaiserlei Bridge

This one is my favorite: I'm dreaming of a white Porsche that gets me out of this fucking city (yes, Offenbach really sucks haha!)

Amsterdam - Weirdo!

You thought the pizza vending machine was crazy? Well, check this out: the cheeseburger vending machine! You insert around 2 Euro in order to open one of the small glass doors

It tastes ok.

While most of the windows are curtain-less, some of them are decorated in strange styles..

Can someone please explain me why they left this 15 cm space between these two houses? And no, there are no bathroom windows or something, I checked it out.

Many houses do own stone pictures like this one above; whatever it means

Umm, yeah. Strange windows, as I said.

See what I mean?

So that was Amsterdam, a very lovely and very weird city worth a trip!
